I guess I'll have to start.

Hello everyone! Mabuhay! Greetings from the Philippines! My name is Miguel Lumapas and I'm a lawyer here in Cebu, sunny Philippines. I manage my own small firm and we've grown from a 2-man team to a 15-man workforce now.

I read a lot of books and before I got to discover Ray Dalio, I've had a faint idea already that cultivating company culture is one of the most important ingredients to any group's success.

Ray if you're reading this I want you to know that our little group is very thankful for the roadmap that you've provided us and the training wheels that you have unselfishly shared with the world. I'm glad to be part of this community and I'm excited for all the things we could someday achieve as a collective whole!

Hi everyone!

There is a huge potential behind the concept of creating a community where everyone can be authentic and different and be appreciated for that. I am excited to participate in the discussions and would love to create new friends and why not new projects and partnerships.

Ray Dalio thank you so much for principlesyou. This is a gift to humanity.

Hi guys!

I'm Mikkel Kruhøffer from Denmark. I work as a department manager in a medium size market analysis business.

I have only a couple of years' managerial experience, and found my learnings from reading principles quite valuable when I had to define myself in my new role as a leader of a small team. Therefore, when I heard PrinciplesYou had launched, it was natural for me to try it out.

When I took the test, I was amazed with the precision in the results, and I also learned how to actually describe some of my quirks and other attributes. When I got my team to try it out, I was amazed once again with the possibilities of the compare function.

A couple of months ago, I had a position open up and decided that I wanted to try to look for a person with the right set of traits and archetypes. We therefore tested all applicants that made it to the second round of interviews to let the PrinciplesYou results have a rather large influence on our final decision. Our new hire is starting in September, so Im looking forward to the first results :)

I'm looking forward to using it for the future and to see the new functionality and platforms on the way (I'm looking at you, PrinciplesUs)

Many thanks to both Ray, Adam and everybody else who has worked to make all of this possible. Principles and PrinciplesYou has literally changed the way I work.

Looking forward to meet you all!

/Mikkel

Aloha from Hawaii!

I'm Clayton Hayes, a Structural Engineer in Honolulu. Originally from Aspen, Colorado my wife and I moved back to her home state in 1984 where I had found my 'dream job' designing resort hotels. After 8 years I left, starting my own 'business of one' mostly designing smaller resorts, very high end homes and residential subdivisions-with the increase in productivity of computerized design and drawing, I was able to equal the production of an 8 person design team while retaining the income of that team to myself-kind of a microcosm of the story of what productivity increase has done throughout the economy. Parents of 3 sons, my wife continues to teach Kindergarten at Punahou School and recently completed her Doctors degree in early childhood education. Being curious about how the economy works, along with much reading on the subject I had read Principles and found Ray's videos pulled it all together for me. I find his comments and longer dissertations on the economy, past and present, to be very enlightening, and help me, by understanding where we are in cycles, to be better positioned to 'swim with the tide' instead of against it.

Looking forward to the growth of this community!

Hello, I am from Melbourne, Australia and I greatly appreciate Ray Daio's contributions. My results came in as individualist, inventor and adventurer. I am in the field of digital construction which is challenging because I am an innovator in an industry that is extremely resistant to change and also built on relationships rather than evidence. So the more innovative work I produce, the more resistance I face, which is frustrating to say the least, but also very personally rewarding when you add significant value. Currently, the construction industry is undergoing meaningful change for the better, which is encouraging. The principles assessment has helped me understand a lot about myself, my motivations and the feedback I receive. This assessment complements Ray's 5 step processes of getting what you want. I initially thought the main benefit of this assessment was of most assistance during the 5 step process in the 3 - "diagnosis" and 4 - "design phases". However, I now think the main benefits are in the 1 - "goals" and 5- "doing" because it gives you clarity to set the correct target in the first place and act effectively based on evidence about your particular measured individual strengths. I recently started my own business just a few months before the pandemic started and it is very challenging. However, I am looking forward to implementing Ray's principles when it has the opportunity to grow a bit more.

Hi all People of Principles :)

I'm Christoffer Endresen from Norway and I'm very happy and grateful for becoming a part of this community.
Knowing yourself, strengths and weaknesses is a gift and a sign of maturity. Getting together with people who have figured out how to leverage their weaknesses and strengths, and even working with people that complement each other is an environment for rapid growth.

I look forward to seeing this evolve and I hope that I'll be able to contribute as much as I benefit from this community. In that case, I must admit, that I'll have a hard time catching up because I've benefited from the book, the app, and the personality assessments.

Hi everyone, my name is Kristen and I am from Brandenburg, KY! My PrinciplesYou type is Shaper, with Commander and Strategist as close matches. My MBTI is ENTJ and my Enneagram is 8w7.

I am currently an 18-year-old junior in college, double majoring in accounting and IT. This past winter, I obtained my real estate license, which is my real passion. After college, I plan to work in auditing and after I have met the work experience requirement, I would like to go to the Kelley School of Business and pursue a dual-track MBA/MS Finance degree. My ultimate goal is to work in investment banking while building an appreciation-centered real estate portfolio.

In my free time, I like to read a lot of books (mostly non-fiction). I can honestly say that Principles is my favorite book, and one of the reasons I have learned to love to read. I also like trying to learn new things. Right now, I am trying to learn to play guitar.

I look forward to getting to know y'all better and share in meaningful conversation with motivated people!

Hi Caitlin,

Since PrinciplesYou seem to be pretty spot on in terms of the relationship that people have between multiple assessment takers - going forward, would this community be a way for us to be able to explicitly search/find and interact with people who have specific results to the assessment? Or is PrinciplesYou hoping that this place is going to be more of an open-air, discussion-based community?

Cheers,

Jeff

My results were Growth Seeker, followed by Strategist and Explorer-which are spot on!!

Conversation starter: If you were to define your over-arching life goal in one sentence, what would it be? After a good deal of contemplation, mine seems be to "Live life to minimize regrets". This has allowed me to take calculated risks in personal, business and financial realms which had an advantage toward success and would have, not taken, left an "if only I had ..." regret, while avoiding those stupid mistakes that can blow up one's life. Like everything else, positive outcomes lead to others, compounding over the years. What would your's be?

Hi Everyone!

I am Liza from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am passionate about psychology, psychometrics, and culture building. I am working as a project manager in the software development industry and am also transitioning into the role of culture lead. I have an academic background in both clinical and organisational psychology. I am keen to learn from your experiences and insights!

I found the Principles assessment to be accurate and insightful and was overjoyed when the management team was as excited about this tool as I am. I have started presenting workshops with teams at work where I compare the member's results - I hope to create awareness, understanding, and cultivate better working relationships.

The reception has been so positive and I cannot wait to see what PrinciplesUs will bring.

Hello!

My name is Moroni Pickering.

I'm interested in further understanding how to apply these archetypes to improving business and family interactions.

Also I'm interested in understanding my primary archetype more, the "Growth Seeker", and where this type best fits in a business setting or occupation.
